Our catworkx team touched down in the beautiful capital of Catalonia ahead of Team '24 Europe, bringing together 10 team members from across our European branches, including four from our newly established catworkx Spain. This diverse crew, fluent in more than seven languages, was excited to showcase our capabilities and immerse themselves in the local culture.
Before the main event officially began, partners were warmly invited to join the Atlassian team for a casual welcome reception. Held at the Hotel Porta Fira Ballroom, the reception was the perfect way to kick off the week, offering an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow partners and Atlassian leaders in a relaxed setting. In parallel, some our of team members took part in a workshop with our partner, Easy Agile.
We also kicked off the event with a delightful happy hour with our partner HYCU, soaking in the vibrant city atmosphere.
The first official day of Team '24 Europe began with the highly anticipated Partner Accelerate event, marking its European debut. The day started with a warm welcome from Atlassian’s President, Anu Bharadwaj, who delivered an inspiring keynote on the Atlassian System of Work, highlighting the evolving landscape of teamwork and how partners can lead the way in driving customer success.
After an engaging Partner Info Session, our team divided responsibilities. Some members focused on setting up the booth in the expo hall, while others attended the sessions. The theme "Empowering Enterprise Agility" guided our booth's focus areas, which included ITSM, ESM, Work Management, and AI.
As the expo hall opened, our team engaged in engaging conversations with attendees, exploring topics such as AI, enterprise integration, and digital transformation.
A highlight of the first day was the inspiring Kickoff Keynote: "Teamwork on and off the pitch", featuring the legendary Arsène Wenger, hosted by Atlassian's Dominic Price. As the first foreign manager in the Premier League and Arsenal's most successful manager from 1996 to 2018, Wenger shared valuable insights on leadership, teamwork, and adaptability that resonated across both sports and the business world. After the first keynote and the welcome reception, our team headed to an exclusive partner event hosted by Appfire. From the venue, we were treated to a stunning 360-degree view of Barcelona, which provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of engaging conversations, networking, and celebrating the collaborative spirit that drives innovation in the Atlassian ecosystem.
The Founders' Keynote, held on the second day of Team '24 Europe, was packed with significant updates. Co-founder and co-CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes greeted the audience with a warm, "¡Hola, Barcelona!" highlighting Atlassian's support for more than 120,000 customers in the EMEA region. He emphasized how these organizations are driving innovation across industries like air travel, drug discovery, retail, and financial services, and reaffirmed Atlassian’s commitment to being a key partner in their journey.
Mike focused on two crucial areas that Atlassian is concentrating on to help these organizations stay ahead: AI innovation and creating a connected System of Work. With over 20 years of teamwork data and insights from working with the world’s leading teams, Atlassian is uniquely positioned to deliver on both fronts, bringing transformative solutions to the market.
After Mike, Anu Bharadwaj and Dr. Zeynep Inanoglu Ozdemir, President and CMO of Atlassian, respectively, took the stage and showed how Atlassian is powering the teams of the future to make the impossible possible.
Welcoming AI to the Team AI is revolutionizing how teams work, and Atlassian is leading the charge in bringing AI innovation to its customers. Since launching Atlassian Intelligence last year, they have already rolled out over 30 new AI-driven features to boost team productivity. Some of the key announcements included:
Atlassian Rovo is now generally available (GA): This new AI-powered product helps teams unlock organizational knowledge. Rovo facilitates enterprise search, distills company information into personalized chat, and deploys specialized Rovo Agents to save time and increase efficiency. Since the beta release, 75% of users have reported getting work done faster with Rovo.
Dev-focused AI Agents: A new early access program is being launched for dev teams, designed to tackle tasks that hinder development velocity. These AI agents will automatically generate code plans, recommendations, and pull requests, accelerating code review processes and enhancing development workflows.
Unleashing All Teams in a System of Work Cannon-Brookes elaborated on Atlassian's System of Work philosophy, which connects technology and business teams to accelerate progress and maximize impact. Atlassian’s approach helps companies align their tech and business sides, creating a deliberate System of Work where everyone shares knowledge and works towards common goals.

The closing day of Team '24 Europe was one for the books! We wrapped up the event by tying up loose ends and reflecting on an incredible journey. Moderated by Atlassian's Tiffany To, the Closing Keynote Transforming collaborative work in the age of AI sparked open-minded discussions and deep reflections on how AI is shaping the future of work. Industry leaders Samsoor Hemat (The Adaptavist Group), Johannes Siebzehnrübl (Arvato Systems – Bertelsmann Group), Julie Mohr (Forrester) discussed how organizations can adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of work, driven by AI and new technologies. Their insights collectively painted a picture of a future where adaptability, innovation, and strategic communication are the keys to success.
A recurring theme was the importance of embracing failure as part of the learning process. The idea of "failing fast, learning, and trying again" encourages a mindset where setbacks are viewed as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles to progress. In this AI-driven era, being open to new ways of working and not rigidly adhering to outdated best practices will be crucial.
