      Zgodność z HIPAA

      Ustawa o przenośności i odpowiedzialności w ubezpieczeniach zdrowotnych (HIPAA) to rozporządzenie opracowane przez Departament Zdrowia i Opieki Społecznej Stanów Zjednoczonych, mające na celu ochronę prywatności i bezpieczeństwa chronionych informacji zdrowotnych (PHI). Zasada bezpieczeństwa HIPAA została ustanowiona w celu ochrony indywidualnych informacji zdrowotnych i zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa, integralności i poufności tych danych. HIPAA ma zastosowanie do podmiotów świadczących opiekę zdrowotną, planów zdrowotnych i centrów rozliczeniowych opieki zdrowotnej, a także innych stron trzecich, zwanych "partnerami biznesowymi", które tworzą, otrzymują, utrzymują lub wysyłają PHI.
