Migrating Atlassian system to Cloud - Interdiscount (2021-2022)
As part of strategic developments aimed at increasing the efficiency and flexibility of its IT infrastructure, Interdiscount has decided to migrate its Atlassian infrastructure to the cloud. This decision was made in order to benefit from the advantages of cloud technology, such as improved scalability, increased security and the ability to access systems from anywhere. The infrastructure to be migrated included several Jira and Confluence instances, which are crucial for project management and collaboration within the company, as well as Crowd, which acted as an identity provider and facilitated user management. catworkx (formerly Zuara), an experienced partner in the field of Atlassian solutions, carefully conceptualized the project over several months and implemented it in close collaboration with Interdiscount. This collaboration included planning, testing and the step-by-step migration of the systems to ensure a smooth transition. The Atlassian Cloud finally went live successfully in spring 2022, marking a significant milestone for the company. Atlassian Access is now used as an identity provider, which offers additional security features and simplified management of user identities. With a few minor exceptions, such as non-existent apps that were not available in the cloud environment, all functions were smoothly transferred to the cloud, further increasing employee efficiency and productivity.
