      What about Rovo AI? Is there a difference between Rovo and Atlassian Intelligence?

      Rovo is Atlassian’s AI-powered solution that brings search, chat, automation, and agents together across Atlassian apps and connected tools. Atlassian Intelligence is the underlying AI technology that powers features like Smart Answers, Rovo Chat, and Agents.

      Rovo also includes non-AI capabilities such as search indexing, bookmarks, connectors, and Studio configuration. Organizations can choose whether to enable Atlassian Intelligence — allowing teams to use Rovo with or without AI, depending on their requirements.

      How can I get Rovo?

      Rovo is available to customers on Standard, Premium, or Enterprise Cloud plans across Atlassian products and collections, including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and the Teamwork, Strategy, Service, and Software Collections.

      Rovo is included at no additional cost for eligible Cloud subscriptions and is automatically activated as it becomes available to your organization.

       

      Is my data secure when using Rovo?

      Yes, it is. Rovo is built on the Atlassian Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security. It respects all existing access controls, so users only see what they’re authorized to view. Rovo does not use your organization’s data to train AI models or improve third-party services, and all data transmissions are secure. Atlassian follows its privacy and responsible technology principles to ensure transparency and control over your data.

       

      Is Rovo available as a standalone product?

      No, Rovo is not available as a standalone product. It is designed to work natively within the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem and is tightly integrated into products like Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management through the Teamwork Graph.

       

      Is Rovo available for Data Center customers?

      Rovo’s full functionality is available for Atlassian Cloud. For organizations using Jira or Confluence Data Center, Atlassian provides Rovo Data Center connectors that sync Data Center content to the cloud, allowing it to be indexed and used in Rovo while keeping existing systems on Data Center.

       

      Are there usage limits? What happens if I exceed my usage quota?

      Rovo operates under a dual-quota system:

      • Indexed Objects: Individual items indexed through Rovo connectors, such as documents from Google Drive or messages from Slack.

      • AI Credits: Units consumed based on interactions with Rovo's AI features, like engaging with Rovo Chat.

      These quotas are designed to ensure optimal performance and fair usage.

      Currently, Rovo is included at no extra cost within the Acceptable Use Policy. However, in the future, usage beyond the allocated quotas may incur additional charges based on consumption.
