Training description

Participants will gain a deep understanding of the ART, how it delivers value and what they can do to effectively fulfill their role with Scrum, Kanban and XP. They will learn how to write stories and break down features. They will also learn how to plan and execute iterations and Program Increments (PI). In addition, they will learn about the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture and how to effectively integrate with other teams and continuously improve the ART.

The training is held in German, the training materials are written in English. After completing the training, participants can take an exam for certification as a SAFe® Practitioner (SP) and also receive 1-year access to the SAFe® Community Platform. In order to take the certification exam, participants must complete both training days.

Beginners to advanced,
Previous knowledge of agile methods is an advantage

Prerequisites

No prerequisites are necessary to participate in the training. Experience in the following areas is recommended:

  • Knowledge of agile concepts and principles
  • Basic understanding of Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming (XP)
  • Software and hardware development processes

Contents

Learning Objectives:

In order to fulfill the role of SAFe® Practitioner, participants should be able to

  • Use SAFe® to apply agile and lean development methods in the organization
  • Understand their team and its role in the Agile Release Train
  • Know all other teams in the ART and recognize their roles and dependencies
  • Plan iterations
  • Execute iterations and demonstrate value creation
  • Plan program increments (PI)
  • Collaborate with other teams in the ART

The two-day training includes the following learning content:

  • Introduction of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®)
  • Building an agile team
  • Planning the iteration
  • Execution of the iteration
  • Execution of the Program Increment (PI)

What do participants receive?

  • Course materials
  • Eligibility for the SAFe® Practitioner (SP) certification exam (to be taken within 30 days by the course participant)
  • A 1-year membership for the SAFe® Community platform
  • Certificate of participation
