Training SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)

In this two-day SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager training course, participants develop and expand their ability to manage value creation in a Lean-Agile organization. They learn measures, tools and techniques with which they can manage backlogs and projects.

Training description

The training provides a deep understanding of the Agile Release Train (ART) and its potential to create added value. Participants will learn how to effectively fulfill their role as SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager.

Furthermore, the training teaches how to apply lean thinking when writing epics, break them down into features and stories, plan and execute iterations and prepare program increments. Finally, participants will learn about the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture as well as their role as Product Owner and Product Manager in the integration and the necessary tools to continuously improve ARTs.

The training is held in German, the training materials are written in English. After completing the training, participants can take an exam for certification as a SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager and will also receive 1-year access to the SAFe® Community Platform. In order to take the certification exam, participants must complete both training days.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge is required to participate in the training.

Create a role action plan

Application of the SAFe® framework in a lean organization
Assignment of the Lean-Agile mindset to the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager
Collaboration with Lean Portfolio Management
Continuous analysis of customer needs
Implementation of a program increment
Creation of an action plan for Product Owners/Product Managers

Eligibility for the SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam (to be created by the participant within 30 days)
